Miss White’s favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8  “Love is patient, love is kind…It always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”  She has shared her love of teaching with students and staff members for 35 years.  Miss White previously taught for 25 years and then worked as an Assistive Technology Specialist for 8 years for Special School District.  This is her first year at Salem as the LASE Education Specialist in the Learning Center. She provides direct instruction and accommodations for K-8 students and is a resource to staff seeking effective supports and strategies for students in their classrooms.  Miss White holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Northeast Missouri State (Truman).  She is certified in Special Education K-12 and General Education K-6.  Miss White has one college-aged son and spends a lot of her time watching him play soccer, listening to live music, and eating at many of the great restaurants near her home in South City.
