V-VBS

Virtual Vacation Bible School 2020 (V-VBS) will take place from Monday, June 8th through Friday, June 12th in a fun filled digital experience each day!

At Rainforest Explorers VBS, learn how Jesus is our ultimate guide in the rainforest and in life.  He leads us to the treasure of eternal life, and He’ll never leave us! A week of Bible stories, songs, snacks, crafts and fun activities is designed for children ages three through eleven.  VBS is free to all families.

Parents who’ve already registered their children may pick up a VBS supply bag Wednesday June 3-Friday June 5 in the church office during regular business hours.  Thursday the 4th, the office will be open until 6.  They can also pick up bags on Saturday June 6 from 9-11 am.   If your child is registered for Salem’s Summer Childcare, their bags will be at camp and hey will not need to pick it up.

All registered families should receive information about how to access the VBS Facebook page. If you do not receive that information, please contact Sarah Elvington by email.

This year’s VBS will be different from previous years because, well, this year is different than previous years.  But, while this year’s VBS will be held online digitally,  it’s going to be a great week of learning about Jesus and how He is always there for us.  Everyone is invited and doesn’t need to be a member of Salem to take part.

Each day of the week will be filled with Bible stories for those participating in V-VBS.  For example on Monday, June 8th those taking part will  learn about Noah’s Ark and how God rescued Noah and his family and how God always keeps his promises.

Each day will also be filled with singing, crafts and snacks.  One of the songs the kids will learn is the “Rainforest Explorer Theme Song; He’s the Life the Truth, the Way”.

Virtual Vacation Bible School is offered free of charge to everyone in the Salem and Affton communities so please feel free to sign up.  If you would like to help out you may also donate to V-VBS by going to Salem Lutheran Church and School’s “Donations” page.
