Positive Tests for COVID-19 at Salem Preschool
Salem Lutheran Church and School is responding to new challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Salem School has closed its daycare program at this time. In two cases, persons coming to Salem summer daycare have received secondary exposure to people who have tested COVID positive. In addition, a third person coming to Salem Summer daycare has also tested COVID positive. None of these three individuals has been on site at Salem since the exposure or positive test. They will remain home until testing negative. Thus far none of the three has exhibited symptoms of the illness. Salem staff members have been in regular contact with the St. Louis County Health Department and are following all recommended protocols. Salem’s staff, school board and church leaders are working together to determine when Salem Summer Care will re-open. Salem’s primary concern is to keep our students, staff, and families safe at this time. We pray that our Lord Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, would preserve us in body and soul and in our faith in Him. Salem wishes to keep everyone informed about what is happening with the COVID-19 pandemic in our preschool and church.
Salem Lutheran Church’s sanctuary is still open on a limited basis. In order to attend weekend worship services you need to register in advance to be admitted to the sanctuary. Earlier this week, Salem’s Board of Elders updated its worship policy. To read the policy and sign up in advance, please visit our “Reopening Salem” page.
Salem is continuing to stream its services, Bible studies, Sunday school and daily devotions indefinitely for those not comfortable coming back to church or school. To see our services stream live or download worship materials please visit our “Home Worship” page.
